Our Director: Jennifer Moore
Jennifer Moore is a well known musician in the Randolph area. She graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Music Education and has taught music in the Randolph schools for the last 18 years instructing elementary, middle and high school musicians. Before taking over as the director, she sang with the Randolph Singers for many years and appeared in many of the Chandler play productions. Her favorite role was that of “Josephine” in the Gilbert and Sullivan production HMS Pinafore. She is also a member of the singing group Sounding Joy!
Jennifer lives in Braintree with her husband Mitch, where in her spare time she raises, trains and shows Shetland Sheepdogs. Most weekends find her in the breed ring or running agility with one of her top winning dogs.
Our Accompanist: Marta Borgstrom
Marta Borgstrom is an accomplished musician who plays the piano, violin and harp. She has been a musical director and accompanist for many productions at Randolph’s Chandler Music Hall, and has made significant contributions to the arts as a member of Sounding Joy!
Marta taught elementary school music for nearly forty years, and has been a leader in establishing innovative music programs for school and community. She pioneered a before-school drumming program for at-risk students as well as after-school enrichment lessons in violin, and she established recorder and choral programs in the Randolph schools. She has composed many original songs for Randolph Elementary School events.
Marta sits on the board of the Vermont Independent School of the Arts. Recently Marta received Vermont’s Alliance for Arts Education Recognition award from Governor Jim Douglas for her contributions to her community. (Taken from Sounding Joy! website for whom she also is accompanist.)
